The Wagon

Here at Tescott High School “The Wagon” is loved by many. The owner and chauffeur of the wagon is Braydon Peterson. Braydon started driving it again two years ago, until then the wagon had been sitting in his yard for seventeen years. Ever since then he, along with many others, fell in love with the wagon.

The wagon is the most beloved vehicle in all of the high school. It is the talk of day when brought to school, and even more so when not. The football team here at Tescott High School looks at the wagon almost as a symbol of hope and joy. The wagon, or “ The Swagon” as referred to by Nate Ehlers, just makes people happy.

The wagon has gone from rags to riches. Recently Braydon has redone the paint job on the wagon. (as shown on the right). The new red, white, and blue camouflage paint job makes it stand out even more, but in the best way.

Braydon used to try to host a “wagon night." He would take the wagon to Salina to show off its beauty. But sadly the wagon is out of commission at the moment. It is in dire need of a new alternator, so much so that it has to be jumped just to start.

I know the wagon is loved by all the male students here: So I decided to ask some female students, and a couple of teachers, about their thoughts on the wagon. Sage Srna, a sophomore , said she thought the wagon was “pretty minty”. Greta Thomas, who has been teaching here for over seventeen years, during our interview said “the wagon is different from anything I have seen”, but I think that is a good thing.

Overall the wagon is a "not so well oiled" machine, but that doesn't stop the unconventional love shown by everyone.
